• 8 & under: Born 2018 or later
• 9-10: Born 2016-2017
• 11-12: Born 2014-2015
• 13-14: Born 2012-2013
• 15-16: Born 2010-2011
• 17-18: Born 2008-2009 (and for track and field, born after a specific date in the previous year, typically July). Athletes turning 19 on or after the last day of the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in 2026 are still eligible to compete in the 17-18 division.
